When choosing between weight, stiffness, and simplicity in adjustment, there are typically trade-offs. In the case of the Carbon Power Board, however, HUDSON have managed to hit all three marks without compromise through an integrated approach. This was accomplished by manufacturing a slight curve* into the Carbon Power Board which flattens when tightening the center knob. This preloads the Carbon Power Board, which eliminates any deformation on the recovery phase of the drive, and eliminates any need for additional attachment points at the outer edge.
The Carbon Power Board was designed, modelled, and constructed in-house using prepreg Carbon fiber over a foam core. The construction is completed in a single stage, which eliminates the need for bond lines, and the risk of any related failures.
