US Rowing Men's 8+ light up the course in Hammerhead during Night Sprints
The 8+ races were extremely exciting. In the men's event Canada continued their dominance in the 2000m Olympic distance by beating the US by open water but the Americans came out for the night sprint fired up racing their Hammerhead at 46 spm covering the 500m distance in 1:18 to win by a deck over Canada and the Czech Republic. The US women raced to victory over both distances ahead of the Canadian and Australian teams as the new women's Hammerhead continues to turn heads. The sharks will enter the Charles river this weekend in force with the US Men and Women looking to defend their titles.
